Digital Camera Kmart Facts in Q&A
Kmart Digital Camera Help.? I just bought on Friday August 14, 2009 a Kmart Digital Camera for 199.99. Today, August 23, 2009 I saw in their paper advertisement thingy that it costs only 179.99. Can I get the $20 back since I purchased the camera recently.

fly by night replied: "just return the camera and then buy it again for the sale price"

Elvis replied: "take the receipt to kmart within 30 days"

Digital camera thingie.......? ok ...i bought a kids digital camera at kmart. it was only 20 bucks. But it does not have a flash. Can I still take pictures indoors?

water_skipper replied: "You can try. Realistically, a camera that cheap will probably take horrible pictures even in sunlight."

Did anyone else buy the Samsung D53 digital camera at Walmart? How does Samsung compare with Polaroid? This must have been a Walmart exclusive because it's not listed on the Samsung web site as a model. Does anyone know how this camera would compare with the Polaroid A700 which was on sale at Kmart? Any opinions on who might make the best inexpense digital camera--Samsung or Polaroid? I do know that the Samsung is very confusing to use out of the box. There are many features but a steep learning curve on figuring out how to use them.

Ara57 replied: "Neither. I don't know how much retailers are advertising these for, but if Canon, Olympus, Fuji or Kodak had one within $100, I would opt for one of those and consider it money well spent. I use a Samsung digicam at work for taking passport photos and it is completely unimpressive. Polaroid spent a lot of time in bankruptcy, and is behind on the digital curve. Good luck in finding the right camera. BTW, if you are switching from a film camera, ALL digicams have a steep learning curve!"

Elizabeth M replied: "I bought the Polaroid camera on sale from K-Mart this weekend. I am not impressed. But then again, you get what you pay for. For $100, it is an okay camera. I have not seen the Samsung D53, but I have seen pictures taken from different Samsung models and they are pretty comparable to the Polaroid. Pretty even. Clear and colorful, but lacking that crisp, even effect from better models. I have had awesome luck and beautiful pictures from my Sony cameras. Might want to check out a Sony!"

which digital camera should i get? which digital camera should i get from either walmart, kmart, or target that has more than 6.2 mega pixels and less than $150??

selina_555 replied: "People so often ask: "Which one is a good camera to buy?" Here is my 10 cents on the subject: Point & Shoot cameras are wonderfully handy because of their small size. When light conditions are ideal, they even take really nice photos - all of them do. However, they all DO have limitations - they don't do very well in low light situations (i.e. noisy photos, hard to avoid blur, etc). The little onboard flash is very harsh at close range, and doesn't reach very far. Many of them have no manual functions, so you are limited to only very basic photos, you can't compensate for unusual situations, or do many fun "tricks" and special effects. P&S's also suffer from frustrating shutterlag and many of them chew through batteries rather quickly. However, if you're ok with all those limitations, then go ahead and pick one, most of them (the same type and same price range) are rather similar. Personally I would pick either a Canon or a Nikon, and would certainly stay away from Kodak. A higher end P&S will give you more manual options and better quality. Many of those even give you the option of adding a proper flash (which makes a big difference to your flash photos). Don't worry too much about megapixels…. there is a limit to how many pixels you can squash into a tiny P&S sensor before you actually LOSE quality rather than gain it. Decide which features are important to you, and look for cameras that have that feature. Then go compare a few models on . The very best thing you can do for your success is to borrow some books and learn about basic photography. A bit of knowledge will make a much bigger difference to your photos than your choice of P&S camera can. If I was in the market for a high end P&S, I'd pick the Canon PowerShot SX10 IS..."

Pey replied: "There are so many cameras out there it is difficult to say which is best, but digital is definitely the way to go. The following link will be very helpful as it list most of the cameras out there with prices. ... What gives a camera its picture quality? The following information should help you know what to look for in a camera. The short answer is that it is mostly the skill of the photographer that produces high quality pictures. The lens and camera are very important, but the ability to set the scene, adjust the cameras settings, and hold the camera very still or use a tripod with auto or remote shutter actuation when required is what gets the great pictures. Many of the new cameras come with only an LCD screen. Would suggest that you find one that also has an optical view finder because the LCD screen is almost impossible to see in bright sun. Higher mega pixels may not really be the best thing to look for. It is more expensive, takes longer to process, and may not be needed unless you are making a really large picture or blowing up a small part of a picture. ... Lots of great camera tips in these two links. ... ... Check this camera. FUJIFILM - FinePix 10.0-Megapixel Digital. This is more camera for the money. Wide-angle shooting, a 12x optical zoom and picture stabilization mode combine in this camera for exceptional shooting performance, even at a distance. Plentiful scene modes, autofocus and automatic white balance controls make this camera a snap to operate. Life time Warranty (Parts & Labor). You may be able to find it on the Internet for a lower price ($144), but be careful of the vendor. ... This could be the best slim line camera. It's PINK! ... The information about my camera is just to show that you don't need the biggest and best. Just know how to use the one you have. My camera has 5.2 mega pixel, but I use 3 most of the time because it gives great results, is faster, and takes less memory. Also, it only has a 3 x optical zoom and 7x digital zoom. I never use the digital zoom because making pictures larger works better on the computer. This is an old camera, but everyone is impressed with the quality pictures it takes ... like magic. Check with the Geeks in several stores and compare prices. Ask what cameras they own, but don't believe everything you hear. Once you select a camera read all about it in the owner's manual. You may be able to view the owners manual at this link. ... The source links will show most of the cameras out there with prices and help make your digital cameras work better."

Canon SD1100 digital camera? Is there somewhere I can buy this camera and easily return it to its store if it is damaged? I've already checked walmart, bestbuy, radioshack, kmart and sears. They are either out of stock or they dont have it.

Jim A replied: "You can't find it because it's discontinued and no longer made."

Hello World replied: "Get the SD1200 instead. You'll get more pixels (10MP vs 8MP). About damage, if a camera you buy has defects or flaws due to the production, you can absolutely return it. However, if the damage comes from your fault, such as dropping from 2nd floor, you may not be able to return it. Good luck shopping!"

nick replied: "try amazon.com there good deal but the price very high" i think go to Canon PowerShot SD1200IS 10 MP Digital Camera better it's cheaper""

Elvis replied: "buydig.com"

zoee t. replied: "I have this camera. Currently, it is broken. That isnt a great way too start, but its a pretty good camera. I would definitely go for it because its great quality images and has good zoom. i also love the fact that if i take a pic, i can zoom in and then adjust it and crop it so you can make a new zoomed in image as well as keeping the old one. The bad thing is that the lense and the part that pops out isnt very durrable and i have sand in it and it wont turn on. whats kmarts price??"

Why are camcorders lower megapixels than digital cameras? I'm looking for a good 8+megapixel camcorder from walmart, target, or kmart. not finding one that easily. i do have a 8.2mpx digital camera, and after i sharpen and move around the contrasts in the video, i can squeeze about 10 to 11 megapixels out of it. real crisp, clear stuff. but i just want to have a good 8+mp camcorder with hd all i'm finding are 2mps and 5mps! what is this?! THIS IS BLASPHEMY!

wiscman77 replied: "You might be able to find a professional camera for $10,000 - $20,000. A still camera is far different from a camera that captures movement. That type of detail is not yet available in a consumer camera, but if you look for professional grade video camera, you might find one. Also, keep in mind that the detail available in the sensors is directly related to the storage capacity of the memory. A 50 - 80 gig hard drive will not hold much info at the 10 - 20 megapixel level. You wold need a much larger - perhaps external - hard drive to hold a reasonable amount of detail at that level of resolution. In time, the consumer will be able to get what you are looking for ow."

Is the Polaroid i733 7.0MP Digital Camera - BLACK a good digital camera? +%26+Electronics&cName=Cameras+%26+Camcorders&sName=Digital+Cameras+%26+Bundles I can only afford this one, but it is it a good one?

dave3006308 replied: "It is OK for a $100 camera. You may want to look at the Nikon L-18 at walmart it is $99."

Jezebella replied: "You might want to save a little more and get the Canon Powershot A590IS. It's worth the extra money and takes excellent, beautiful photos and it's relatively easy to figure out how to use. +%26+Electronics&cName=Cameras+%26+Camcorders&sName=Digital+Cameras+%26+Bundles Amazon and some other places may sell it for $120 to $130 but you have to shop around."

digital camera/video camera question. please help me!? +%26+Electronics&cName=Cameras+%26+Camcorders&sName=Digital+Cameras+%26+Bundles ok, thats the camera that im looking into getting. its nice, black, 7mp. and it has a pretty decent sized screen. but im wondering if it has video [AND SOUND] capability. the overview and things were a little confusing to me.. so if some of ya'll could read though it, and tell me if it can shoot video and sound or not. also, anybody that has used this camera, i'd like some product reviews. :D

AZTECAMAN replied: "According to the specs it has a movie and audio capability since it has a built in mic, you might need to purchase more memory to actually use the movie feature."

bbk replied: "yes it can shoot videos and sound"

Dart Swinger replied: "It has a built-in mic, so it definitely records sound. Although it can record audio and video, it looks like its strength is as a still camera."

Mark replied: "yes all cameras over 6 mp usaly do go to the company site and check"
