My Braun electric toothbrush just stopped working. Can I replace the battery or is it fit for the pit? Its about 2 yrs old. If the batteries cant be replaced, it sucks. If I ahve to buy a new one, is there a brand in which i can replace the batteries as I dont wanna pay alot when it can go at any time? Thanks in Advance!

the big brain replied: "i am afraid that you toothbrush is no good. you should go to wall-mart and get a electric one that tales AA batteries. that way you can buy new batteries for a low price."

fv replied: "most electric goods arent manufactured to last that long. they ususally pack up within a year...they obviously cant make toothbrushes with industrial parts and state ot the art technology. its more economical to buy a new one...or else u will spend precious time fixing it like an old car. ...its jst a toothbrush :)"

How to change batteries on a Braun 3D Excel Electric Toothbrush? I have a Braun 3D excel Electric Toothbrush and its a few years old and does not seem to hold charge anymore. Are the NH ACCU batteries in it changeable? If so, how do I change them?

shashi c replied: "Try it it. You have nothing to lose."

How do you prevent an electric toothbrush from discharging in a crowded toilet bag/case when traveling? Use an Oral B Braun Electric toothbrush which alwsys has the little silver button getting depressed in my toilet case/bag/travel case and always reaches the destination dead! There is a little reset style button at the back of the brush? Can that be the trick?

Benny replied: "If its battery operated, just pop out the batteries when you travel."

Rachel M replied: "Wrap it in something soft (Bubble wrap, clothing--a shirt, perhaps) so that there's less pressure on it and that the button is less likely to be pressed. If that doesn't work, you may want to look into getting a small pencil box that you could fit your toothbrush in. Just put it in, close it, and you're on your way."

Which electric toothbrush is best Sonicare, Oral B or Braun? I have MAJOR dental problems and little money. It has been advised that I at least invest in a good electric toothbrush until I can get everything taking care of. Please let me know your views of these brands. I went to the store and noticed the prices range from about $80-$180.. It leaves one feeling completely confused as to what is best. I really appreciate your advise. Thank you very much!

bekkieclaire99 replied: "Oral B tend to offer best value for money and the often have special offers going you don't need a really expensive one just make sure its rechargable not battery operated!"

Ash T replied: "I would recommend a sonicare because they basically vibrate plaque off of your teeth. They are great for promoting healthy gums as well. If money is an issue, ask your dentist if they can order you one at their price which is a lot less than you can find at a store. Any electric toothbrush will work though. Just find one with a "sonic" or "vibrating" action. Good luck."

pirateron replied: "the best one that works for you.just use a good normal one with great toothpaste and brush often if u can dont wast money when your hand can do a better job so save money and dont buy and electric one then get on S.A. and get out goverment pay for you if you are in Canada"

Melissa replied: "Oral B is what I use, it works well. leaves the teeth very clean and polished. But I also use crest pro-health toothpaste"

KnowledgeForest replied: "I recommend Sonicare. I had pockets in my gums and the soniccare got rid of it. You can get one for $50:"

Braun Vitality electric toothbrush - packed in.? This has been a good cheap electric toothbrush but the other night it would not charge up. I guess I've had it for over a year - has it reached it's final brush with my teeth? Is a year about as long as the cheaper one's last?

nicola b replied: "think life of electric toothbrush should be 2 years for braun but most of my patients say after year power does begin to fade."

Change an electric toothbrush? Do you use an electric toothbrush? If so, how many years have you been using it before you had changed it? I have a Braun electric toothbrush and it seems that it can no longer hold charge. Is it possible to change only the batteries?

DownToEarth replied: "Its the brush tips that you might want to change frequently, so that it is very effective when you use it. Frayed bristles, will not be. 3 months on an average for the brush tips. There are several types of Electric Tooth brushes. If yours is loosing charge very often, then it might be a good time to buy one ! If your model has a 'Single Double A' type, then you may replace, if it is one of those mobile cell battery types, then better a new unit altogether."
