adrian replied: "I would first take a look at your OS version. Make sure you are you using the latest version of OS X Tiger or Leopard. That could be the first clue to solving your problem. Second, I would delete the corrupt keychain from Safari. And, if need be, create a new one. That helped solve my exact same dilemma with Safari. If none of this works your last options are to scour the internet for this issue or use a different browser. May I suggest Firefox?"

My Mac got hacked, but I used a "hack" and got my p/w back, but it says something about the login keychain p/w? Okay, my macbook was hacked last night(dunno how), and I used the single user mode hack to make another admin account(the mount/ -uw / one). but now it keeps saying "safari wants to use ~something something~ keychain" and tells me to input a p/w....but it's not my my current p/w but it's the p/w that the hacker put in, so now my login keychain p/w is unknown and idk how to get that p/w, so how do I make a new one or find out what the p/w the hacker put in was? or was it not a hack at all(i doubt it though, if someone set a p/w on my acc through accounts in system prefs it wouldnt change the login keychain p/w). the login keychain is NOT my login p/w fyi
thx if u can help :D
ELfaGeek replied: "No "Hacker" messed up your MacBook, another user did!!! Find out who, in your house, and get them to input the password they created.
Then, backup your, and others, personal data.
Then, do a full "Erase and Install" of OS X, and CREATE A USER ACCOUNT for each user. Only the owner of the PC should have Admin Rights.
Finally, reinstall all your personal data within YOUR User Account. Repeat for other users.
The best OS in the World can't protect itself from the STUPIDITY of other users!!!

How do I make this go away? "A keychain cannot be found to store Safari."
I have 2 accounts on my laptop. Whenever it's on Safari, a similar message like that pops up, and asks for a password. I press Cancel, it pops up again, I press Cancel, then it'll pop up again maybe 5 minutes later.
Today I installed Microsoft Office 2008 to my computer, and I've been getting that pop-up.
How do I get rid of it!
I think I got it to go away!
nevermind :(

Hank replied: "Had same problem Spoke w/an individual at an Apple Store and he said that in Unix, their is one more level higher than administrator, the system; and only the system can change the settings or password for x509 keychain. The reason: security purposes. He said there is a way of hacking in and getting access but you have to call Apple Care."

Help! This stupid Keychain thing won't go away!! ? When I switch pages it this notice thing pops up saying "safari wants you to enter password" or something like that. I can cancel it and go about my stuff but it is just annoying because it keeps popping up... The password isn't the same as any of my passwords and i looked all over the keychain thing but there seems to be no way to turn it off... Can anyone help me stop this?
~~ Also I know this question was sort of asked a week ago but it was no help at all. I cannot find the "User" thing... So if you can give me more then that, I will forever be grateful!!

Ladadadada replied: "I had a similar problem with my Yahoo account that I left dormant for several years. When I signed up Yahoo required a ZIP code and since I have never lived in America I didn't have one. I have no idea what I wrote down but I sure couldn't remember what it was four years later.
In the end, what I did was to contact their customer services and convince them of my problem. They were happy to reset my password and send it to the secondary email account that was already in the details of my Yahoo account.
This satisfied them that even if I was a hacker I would have already had to have gained control of the other email account to gain control of the Yahoo one.
Unfortunately, he only place Safari is going to store passwords is in the keychain so you're out of luck there unless you have also signed in with another browser such as FireFox."
