Khakis And Black Shirt in Answers
Can i wear a black T shirt, tan khakis, a grey zip up sweater with black shoes and a black belt? I was thinking this, or even have some color and go with khakis, black shoes, black belt, red polo and then the grey sweater? how bout a fall color yellow, half zip sweater going off what c girl said?

Kyle N replied: "yes. Your mother only sets out clothes she thinks you look good in."

Country grl replied: "Do you have some black pants? Black pants, black belt, red polo, grey sweater, and black shoes would look nice. I just think the khaki with the grey is going to be too bland. Either that are get a different color sweater."

Should I wear a black dress shirt and khakis or black dress shirt and black dress pants for an interview? It's not a very professional place. I would have gone with a white dress shirt and black dress pants, but I don't have a white dress shirt at the moment and do not have the time to go out and buy one. My interview is tomorrow. I was thinking that I should not wear all black too, but I was wondering if it would be more professional. Maybe I should wear grey on the bottom instead? Is that better?

~Bella~ replied: "Black dress shirt and khakis. You don't want to scare them with a black on black ensemble."

marygen99 replied: "yeah i think the black & khakis."

maxmom56 replied: "It depends on the job. Dressier is always better."

arklatexrat replied: "Don't dress head to toe in black. It will look like you are either goth, emo, or going to a funeral. White shirt & black pants is fine, or black shirt & khakis is fine. Depending on how casual or formal the workplace is, and whether you are male or female, you might consider wearing some variation of a business suit, or at least a jacket and tie."

bunnyboo08 replied: "definitely black dress pants. I know for a fact because i was taught this in my Office and Administrative Assistant Class. Khakis are what they wear for business casual, u only wear this if told to or if you already have the job and thats the dress code. Since you dont have the job you want to dress to impress and black dress pants are definitely the way to go"

Yawzer.com replied: "Do not wear all black. I would suggest black shirt and grey pants. Khakis may represent underdressed. My Best, Michael Grant find a career – find an employee complete an online application for employment"

Michelle L replied: "I've seen black with black look good with the right tie. If you're wearing a tie, I think you may be able to pull it off. The grey or khaki might work if they are pressed and you wear nice shoes."

What colour buttoned shirt goes with black khakis? For a casual date, which coloured shirt goes best with black khakis. It is a normal butoned shirt. Short Sleeved.

cutie pie replied: "i like my guys in like a hunter green kind of color, that or a traditional blue would be fine."

David W replied: "Pink"

Jill W replied: "Every color goes with black -- except for brown. Well, actually brown goes with black too, but I personally don't like it that much."

Sherry K replied: "Black is a basic color and almost any other color coordinates with it. White is always a good choice, but Grey or French blue look great with black."

pls_help_me replied: "white"

issy replied: "Beige slack shirt ( black buttoned)"

alyssabeth2304 replied: "go with a red or white shirt."

Katz replied: "I never liked the short sleeve buttoned down look. I'd say go with a polo shirt. Avoid white..you'll look like a waiter."

le0_girl replied: "white"

shmagu4 replied: "blacks a neutral color any thing goes"

Hana_Chann replied: "White might be too fancy looking but blue or grey would be nice."

teneresteis2000 replied: "My absolute fav is white, but the total black look would be great for a more casual outfit."

I have a pair of black khakis and a black shirt. WHen I launder them, I get a lot of spots and lot of lint.? Any suggestion on how to avoid? After it's done, I tried to use a lint brush to remove but no success.

Kathleen W replied: "try turning them inside out and before putting them in the dryer shake them out real hard."

wiffybog replied: "I always wash and dry black clothes alone or with other black clothes. Be sure to empty your pockets. Add laundry detergent to the water, mix it in and then add your clothes. Good luck."

What color belt goes with khakis and a black polo shirt? Looking for an extremely conservative answer, am not fashion daring. Thanks Thanks for the suggestions. As I have been blessed with a Y chromosome, I think I'll avoid the gold and silver for now. Being fashion illiterate, I was just concerned that black didn't go with khaki's.

. replied: "conservative? black or dark gray"

Kateydid196482 replied: "How about a gold one?"

Chloe replied: "What about a silver, Not very shiny just dull silver, hope I helped."

choco replied: "white, black =]"

Cancy replied: "if you are finding belts, here you can have a look: nice name brand belts are for your wide choice. other nice jewelry are also available. hope you will find your favorite."

What pants can I wear with my black polo shirt? I keep seeing "no mixing of black and brown", but other entries say khakis and black shirt are OK. Isn't khaki a form of brown? I have a black polo shirt and pant choices are khaki khakis, very dark brown khakis, grey khakis. Brown shoes but I might be able to find some black ones. Thanks! I'm fashion challenged.

Becca Elaine replied: "Grey pants and black shoes :] Khakis only work with black if it's a light light khaki."

ferguslover19 replied: "definitely the khakis. you'll look really spiffy if you where regular khaki colored pants with the polo shirt."

What color tie for black-shirt and khakis? i have white, purple, silver, and red. or none of the above? suggest a color then? Thank you very much.

golfdiva=) replied: "purple all the way=)"

Lise replied: "you can have a look "

Does a black long sleeze collar shirt look ok with brown khakis and black shoes? I am 18 years old and i have an important dance to attend tomorrow. I am wearing a Black long sleeve collared shirt and i am still deciding if i should wear black or brown Khakis and what color shoes. Please help. Thankyou.

tora s replied: "that'll look fine---just don't unbutton it down to your chest with several gold chains on"

Allie P replied: "I personally do not think Black and brown (like the khaki's) match. Maybe a white button up? If you are wearing Khaki's, black or brown shoes would work, just make sure your socks match your shoes. Black pants mean only wear black shoes."

usmc_jrotc replied: "hell no you bet not put that shit on that is tackie and ugly as all hell NO find somthing else to wear !!!"

Claudia replied: "Well, black and brown don't really look good together and don't match, so if you're going to wear a black top for sure, that means that you have to wear all black, unless you have a little colour in the material. But you don't necessarily have to wear all black if all of the clothes that you wear are black. What I mean is that you should add some jewelry. Any colourful colour would be fine, but I would wear gold and silver won't look that good on such a dark colour like black. Another thing, if you have long hair, don't put it up. Make it wavy or straight. I hope I helped!"

atbkkj replied: "yes that would look good"

kev859 replied: "not if they are really dark in color, otherwise yes."

I have a trade show to work wearing a white oxford shirt and Khakis. I'm told black shoes are aren't ok. True? I'd like to wear a black belt and black Doc Martens for comfort and avoid getting some new brown shoes. Thanks everyone! Juki - I pushed back on it and got the affirmative 'Brown' so I just picked some up since my Keens are too casual.

William D replied: "wear what YOU like"

The One Who Rocks... replied: "i have wore black with khakis.... it is ok..."

? replied: "A black belt and Doc Martens will look great. They are perfectly acceptable for wearing with khakis. In fact they will look very nice. :)"

blackberetonawhitegirl replied: "I've been told black shoes shouldn't be worn with khakis but if you're wearing a black belt too, I don't see the harm. Comfort is important and if you don't feel the need to go out and buy brown shoes, then wear the black. You should be fine."

The coolest person! replied: "Yaah.... Black lather shoes n belt r very gud dude.."

mommy81 replied: "Unless you were told not to wear black it will look fine."

nhon_ma replied: "In this case, it is not about the color of your shoes but their 'style'. Doc Martens for example will not be OK;"

Lindsey D replied: "Who told you that? its a lie. Firstly, wear what you feel comfortabe wearing. Secondly, neutrals can always go with other neutrals (black, tan, white, gray, ect). No matter what neutral color, you can pair them together."

Tiny Tine replied: "put a black belt on and your good!"

metal_bucket replied: "Doc Marten boots? You'd be best with shoes. If the khakis are very light in color (cream etc.), you should not wear black shoes, however if they are darker in tone (gray or darker), black shoes are fine."

aaron.keenan replied: "If you are going to wear khakis Then you would have to wear some light shoes with it Like white shoes or cream or gray but sometimes you can wear black you know what they say black and white matches with everything."

Juki replied: "If this is a "One Time" Thing, where know that you are only going to work this trade show this time, then fine, don't buy new shoes. BUT, if this is something that you will be doing several times, then NO, the Black Shoes are not okay. This is trade show, and the fact that you have to wear a specific outfit means that they want you too look a certain way and present a certain image ( you are representing who evers business). I am more concerned with the fact that you are wearing Doc Martens than the actually color. The outfit you are wearing can be termed Business Casual and Doc Martens are too casual for that. I understand that you are going to be on your feet most of the day so comfort is key..... So if this is an ongoing thing, than get a brown belt and brown shoes. If you are on a budget, just go to Payless and get some brown shoes in the mens department ( No one is going to know were you got them from and you will only be wearing them for these types of events, so they will last ) and get a brown belt from Walmart ( can get shoes there too), it will cost you about $30 for both items ( probably even less than that)!"
