I am looking for a twisted black wire centerpiece that holds 15 votive candles? I saw this at a wedding. The votive cups were different shades of pink/red and held tealights. Thecenterpiece itself reminded me of those gold wire trees that were popular several years ago.

tampamar replied: "Try this site which I found through ebay.com"

funnyyoyo replied: "If your crafty, you can make it yourself. Everything you need would be at a craft store. Otherwise, type in your search engine, blackwire votive centerpiece. I came up with 10 pages to browse through, besides you may find something different you like better. that's the fun of the search"

What type of center pieces or table decorations should I have at my wedding? I'm working on figuring out what to have on the tables at my wedding. My colors are tif. blue, silver, and pink. I really like the idea of floating candles in cylinder vases w/ some type of flower in water...maybe some small votive candles around? Any suggestions? I was also thinking maybe some sort of tif. blue table runner or would that look weird? I def. want the color blue on the table I just don't know how to do it.

1065jada replied: "Centerpiece idea is perfect. to add more blue you can add a smaller tablecloth over on a diagnol or use blue napkin rings or on each plate a blue favor."

FT2 replied: "Great choices....Love cylinder vases you can do so much..you can add blue rocks to the bottom, sprinkle blue rose petals around or even find a blue floating candle. I wouldn't do to much blue though just enough to make it look classy and elegant. If you choose a blue runner then maybe add a touch of the other colors in the candles or party favor boxes at each seat.Good Luck and Forever Wishes..."

CK replied: "the cylinder vases are a great idea, why don't you use food coloring and make the water blue and use a pink floating candle and then surrounding the cylinder on the table cloths use some sort of silver confetti. good Luck and Best wishes"

Chris's proud mommy replied: "http://www.california-wedding-ideas.com/images/candle-centerpiece.jpg love this one :%3B%3DXROQDF%3E2323946%3B:6337ot1lsi just an idea for the runner, the rest of the table is awful! could be blue instead."

Would anyone like the recipe (ritual) for Love Potion #9? LOVE POTION #9 To be performed at the 9th hour on the 9th day of the 9th month. 9 oz. sweet red wine 9 basil leaves 9 red rose petals 9 cloves 9 apple seeds 9 drops vanilla extract 9 drops strawberry juice 9 drops apple juice 1 ginseng root, cut into 9 equal pieces By the light of 9 pink votive candles, put these nine ingrediants into a cauldron on the ninth hour of the ninth day of the ninth month of the year. Stir the potion nine times with a wooden spoon, each time reciting the following: LET THE ONE WHO DRINKS THIS WINE SHOWER ME WITH LOVE DIVINE. SWEET LOVE POTION NUMBER NINE MAKE HIS/HER LOVE FOREVER MINE. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat and let it simmer for nine minutes. Remove the cauldron from the heat and allow the potion to cool off. Blow nine times upon the potion, bless it in the names of nine love-goddesses, (see below) and then strain it through a cheesecloth into a clean container. Cover and refrigerate it untill you are ready to serve it to the man or woman from whom you desire love and affection. (Do not allow anyone other than your beloved to look at,touch, or drink the love potion.) The nine goddesses: Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte, Hathor, Nephthys, Aphrodite, Venus, Freya, Arianrhod. Rituals and spells are done at different times days, moon phases, you name it. All you need is a pure heart and intent. Blessed Be! Actually it doesn't go against the laws of freewill. Because, anyone that practices REAL magick, or the religion of Voodou they would know that "Controlling Love " spells actually do not exist, these spells, potions only open your "HEART'S DESIRE" to see the love and affection that you have for them. It softens them up so to say. It never forces them to do ANYTHING against their free will. Real Magick would not work against soemones FREE WILL ever!!!! *** Also, you need not to give ALL of the potion to your INTENDED, a small amount mixed with another drink or even baked in cookies will do.

audioxpirate replied: "Just curious, but aren't you supposed to do most potion making at night? EDIT: Due to you adding that little bit of info: Thanks! Altho I personally think messing with natural processes such as love is very risky. The chance of backfire is just too great. Now if you could come up with a potion that induces, or rather unlocks, the true love for you that someone possesses, I would be very interested in that."

Trajectory replied: "I don't care if you're into magic and witchcraft or not. I'm not one for it, but anyone reading this PLEASE for your safety consult a Nutritionist, Botanist, and/or anyone else who consults with the possible toxicities of plants about these things. I do not know about that potion, but you could make some other potion and end up with your own little poison. Please if you decide to make potions, either get the education dealing with these plants/ingredients, what happens when cooked, etc. BEFORE making a potion. You may accidentally end up hurting someone and not knowing it."

P.I. replied: "That sounds like too much work and love is even more work...I think I'll just stay single. I'm good at that. Thanks any way though."

Jezzabelle replied: "That's all very good and all if it weren't for the fact that it breaks one of the main rules of witchcraft- it messes with free will. the rest is very accurate but it would be better as a potion to share with your lover (with their consent) to reaffirm your love. *Blessed Be*"

What are the best table decorating ideas for long tables at a wedding reception? The tables are already supplied with white linen and two ivy bowls for each table by the reception site. We are puting clear glass stones inside the bowl and placing a votive candle holder and candle inside. We are clueless on how else to decorate the tables. The wedding is next summer and our colors are black and white. We are using pink as our accent color.

jo.rogers72 replied: "Try putting disposable cameras every so many seats. They can be dressed up with ribbon or confetti. The idea is for your guests to take pics of each other during the reception. They will get some shots that your photographer will never catch."

Darlene mouse replied: "Why don't you mix a few pink and black glass stones with the clear and use pink votive candles. Fill some globe bowls with some Hershey miniatures wrapped with labels with coordinating colors on them. Sprinkle pink and black confetti across the white linen. You shouldn't need much more than that. Good luck to you and congratulations!!"

figsue replied: "If money is an issue, you can buy rolls of crepe paper, black white and pink and stretch and twist them to the length of the table (in the middle). I've seen where people sprinkle wedding confetti on the tables. Little bells and such, you can get at a party store. The cleanup is not fun though. Another inexpensive idea are little cups of peanuts and mints. If money is not an issue, my niece got married this summer and made everyone a little photo album that she had put pics of her and her husband growing up, meeting, and some of their vacations and stuff. She added little tidbits about the both of them, gave everyone a chance to get to know them, I absolutely loved it!!!!!!!! Some people make CD's of their wedding songs and put them on the tables for everyone to take. Best of luck now and in your future."

Julie D replied: "One thing I am doing that would look good is table runners. I'm having white table cloths with blue table runners down the center, a bigger fishbowl with colored glass stones and floating candles in the middle with a smaller votive fishbowl on either side of it. Then there will be small bowls of mints and mixed nuts on the other sides of those."

OZZIEGAL replied: "if i were you i would put votive candles exactly as you described down the center of each table from one end to the other. one candle every foot or so, so if you have eight foot long tables you would have eight candles. it would be inexpensive, simple and elegant. you could put clear pink stones in with the clear ones and the light reflecting off them would be very pretty. good luck and have a lovely wedding."

Mints and Candles?? My reception is outside at 6pm... My colors are sage and yellow, with a little pink. For the centerpieces, i was thinking about a 7 in vase with glass stones and votive candles in the bottom.. The stones would be colored (not sure what color).. We also wanted little candy mints in dishes on the tables as well. Do you think this would all be okay or not enough? If so, flowers aren't an option... Too expensive for our budget. I want something that provides light, but also fits our personality and theme of bright and airy and not too stiff. Help???? The mints are something we grew up with and love. It takes us back to our childhood... It's our favorite part of the reception..... They're the little pink, green, and yellow ones shaped like little hershey kisses.

Caitie replied: "Sounds good but I wouldnt do the mints."

♥ April ♥ replied: "What you might want to do is get the vases and put in clear colored stones. Then you can get some of those submerisble floralytes (you could get different colors for each table) and put that at the bottom of the vases. The light will flow out and reflect off the stone. I think that would look beautiful and would definitely add a lot of light. The floralytes are fairly inexpensive. Kind of like this: Here is where you can buy them: I hope that this helps! Good luck!!! ♥"

XpectinTriplets replied: "I think thats perfect my favorite part was always the mints too its not too little or too much"

SirenSong replied: "If the mints have personal meaning to you then use them. Candles are an excellent centerpiece if you're on a tight budget. I think it will be lovely."

jilly replied: "Your centrepieces sound fine, although I'd make sure that you get tealights that last about 6 hours or so, otherwise everything will be going dark at about 10pm, as many only last for 4 hours at the most. You might want to consider putting the vases on flat sheets of mirrored glass to help reflect the light back onto the table - these can be made really cheaply if you ask a glazier to cut one large sheet of mirrored glass to size for you. If flowers aren't an option, what about putting twisting rosemary or jasmine around the outside of the vases or just putting it on the table - a beautiful scent outside at night for minimal cost. The mints? Unless they have a particular significance, I wouldn't bother with them. If you can get hold of the sweets - Love Hearts (popular in the UK - don't know if you can get them in the USA) - these would be much more appropriate for a wedding & much more fun & as they are pastel colours they'd fit in colourwise too. Have fun whatever you do!"

lovebug2052 replied: "how about salt water taffy in the candy dishes . they come in a variety of colors and flavors. the center pieces sound great!! do the mints if you really want them ."

shellmae80 replied: "Possibly get the silver and gold...or different colors of the confetti to put on the tables. I think that looks great. Especialy by candlelight."

iloveweddings replied: "Hi and congratulations! Oh...I love your idea! Very nice. My only suggestion would be.....are you doing a round or "chunky" vase? Or a more skinny tall vase? I think it would look much better with a short round, square or chunky vase like these: These are just examples. The one titled "ivy bowl" can be purchased at dollar stores. I have seen them there MANY TIMES! I love the idea of the "gem stones" with the votives.....very pretty, easy, and inexpensive! The mints sound like a great idea too! Very nice."

Where can I get bulk sea glass, stones, decorative, gems, marbles, or beads? I need to find the cheapest bulk sea glass, decorative gems and marbles, glass stones or something of that sort. I need pink (not pale pink, hot pink or fuschia) and green ( a limeish colored, not dark) for wedding decorations. I have about 10 large vases that I want to put alternating layers of pink and green and artificial flowers will go in those....the I have about 20-25 small votive candle holders that I want to put more gems or whatever in them to hold candles. I need quite a bit so if anyone knows any good websites for buying this stuff in bulk it would be very helpful...I've searched for websites without much luck and anything I find on ebay, there is not enough product; I need big bags of this stuff! Thanks!

Cherry_Blossom replied: "Michaels craft store."

Oobily Ghepp replied: "Strangely, I found some in a dollar store, but not in the quantity you want."

geekieintx replied: "i asked my GF...she says she uses this site ...she says you can get up tp 1000 pieces per bag"

Dixie B replied: "I get most of my craft items at Hobby Lobby. I don't know if there are any Hobby Lobby's in your area. Good luck."

Laura A replied: "Fire Mountain Gems is a good place to get beads - the more you buy, the better the price is. They also have other fun things that you might be interested in for decorating, etc. like little fabric gift bags, etc."

Wendy replied: "Hi! Have you tried dollar stores? In the town I live in, most dollar stores carry decorative gems, marbles of various colours etc. Also, pet stores! Glass aquarium tanks require those sorts of items! They come in different shapes and sizes. Some round, some flat.... River rocks come in different colours as well: polished naturally by the river, and sold also at pet and dollar stores. I hope you find what you need! Good luck!"

wax chunks for candle making? I am getting married in October and was thinking about doing votive candles as table decorations the colors are hot pink and lime green. It is hard to find these colors in candles at a reasonable price. My question is can I fill a clear votive holder with wax cubes or chunks and just add a wick down the center? Will it burn like a candle?

latrailera2000 replied: "Hey Jessica try the dollar store they have a big selection of votives.CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!"

Stevo replied: "It will probably burn for a while, but if there are too many air gaps in it, the wick will burn right down to the bottom before you know it. My suggestion is to make your own candles using crayons as colorants. You may be able to even find candle specific colorants at a hobby store like MJ Designs, or Micheals, or Hobby Lobby. Good luck, Stevo."

Jim's Lady replied: "From the website Quote Transforming wax into an interesting art innovation is easy with this unique line of unscented candle wax beads. Create a candle out of a favorite vase, container or even a fruit or vegetable. The beads can be poured into nearly any type of vessel a wick is then inserted and will burn from eight to 10 hours."

anniebammy replied: "Try this online store for what you are looking for."

sniffydogs replied: "You could get white votives and overdip them with melted crayons. Also white floating candles in brightly colored water might be and idea. I know they have kits at Joann's, Hobby Lobby and Micheals."

ArtisticCandles replied: "It msy burn, but not the entire time a candle would. There r many wholesale candle supply stores online & you can get great prices, products, & ideas."

Suggestions for wedding centerpieces? Im having trouble making my centerpieces seem fuller. It's a clear cylinder vase with a pink orchid inside filled with water. It'll be sitting on an octagon shaped mirror. with clear pebbles scattered around and a few votive candles. The vases are 10''. I went to the banquet hall today to see how they look and they seem small just like a vase sitting on a glass. Any suggestions on what i can do to make them pop. Also the table cloth is going to be brown.Thanks. any suggestions or pictures are greatly appreciated.

Flaca replied: "What is the greenery you are using. I love Bear Grass. Its got a great structure and its not generic looking like baby's breath or ferns. The bear grass will give you some height and still be soft enough for the orchids."

bear42 replied: "I'm guessing that maybe your venue is providing the mirrors and little votive candles...? If not, I would return the little votives and get a more substantial candle to go on either side of the vase like 4" or 6" candles and then something for them to sit on that goes with your colors like a pink to match the orchids--even just a pretty paper velum from a craft store to protect the table cloths and carry the color down to the table and give an illusion of more fullness. If that's not in the budget, I really wouldn't worry too much because once the table settings and place cards and everything else gets on the table it won't even matter! Good Luck and try not to sweat the small stuff!"

iloveweddings replied: "Hi. Just leave it as it is. It sounds beautiful. You must also remember that the table will be set with silverware, plates, glasses, etc. so that takes up room. I think it sounds perfect the way it is!"

jeannie78 replied: "More/larger candles....they create such great ambiance and always make the table pop. The candlelight will be very romantic and put a beautiful hew on delicate orchid. Remember...don't stress too much about your centerpeices/decorations...although important sometimes simplier is better....everyone is going to be looking at you :) ps-if you need candles let me know"

Bride08 replied: "I would think that is a great idea, i love the way pink and brown look together Here is a picture you might like, "

Opinions on my Wedding reception table decorations....ideas welcome!? My colors are white and pink. I was thinking of doing Pink roses in a clear square vases, with rose petals on the tables with votive candles. I was also thinking of putting small black and white photos of my fiance and i on the tables as well for decoration. Any cute ideas or thoughts? Thanks! This is to Answer Guru Wedding days are supposed to be all about the bride and groom. It's the one day in your life where the whole day is about you. It is our day and It's not like i was going to put a shrine of us on the tables i thought just a few small professional photos would be cute. nukemtwox replied: "order pink orchids and orchid blossoms from hawaii, they are very affordable and will arrive in 2 days. orchid shoots in vases and blossoms on table and incorporated into the cake."

Lili replied: "I love your first idea, especially the rose petals on the table. I would suggest using nice fake roses and filling the bottom of the vase with the clear morbles or rocks. My daughter did that and then put three small crystal candle votives around the vase. The reflection of the candle light against the clear marbles or rocks was beautiful. We also purchased disposable cameras for each table and put a note on each table with the camera with a cute verse asking the people to take pictures of each other at the table and of the reception. The pictures were amazing, funny and candid. We made doubles and triples of some of the special pictures and included specific pics of people in their thank you card. We got a great response from that because many times people never get to see the pics they take with these cameras. Blessings to you and yours -"

RaRa D replied: "my make sure get crazy wedding cake is different layout"

Kurious1 replied: "pink roses are cool. if its at night, buy flower lights (little lights that run off watch batteries) and put them in the buds. Adds an ambiance that is really romantic, and they last longer than candles."

Luv2Answer replied: "That sounds really great! I think the pictures are a nice touch."

tookoolfool replied: "that sounds cute...you can get some cute (cheap) frames and then the guests can take home the pictures as a memento or favor. you can also order personalized m&m's with pink and black as the color and you can even get them printed with your names or little sayings. just go to or something like that google it and you should be able to find the web site. I've also sen some dramatic center pieces where the flower arrangements are actually under water. I got married in the fall (October) and we had little lanturns with little votive candles and silk autum leaves on our tables. candles just give every thing a soft glow. And we put disposable cameras on the table for the guest to take candid pictures of the reception...beacuse sometimes they can catch little moments that a professional wouldn't. Just make sure you tell every one to drop the cameras off in a bin or something before they leave! You can get the cameras personalized too! Congrats on your marriage and I wish you many years of happiness!!"

Mrs. S replied: "you could also put little round or square mirrors underneath the vases and candles. I did almost exactly what you have in mind and it looked great. I also used a little irredescent glitter and confetti for a little sparkle."

keepyourhandsoffmycat replied: "I think the pink roses in vases with rose petals on the table and the votive candles would be just grogeous. However, I wouldn't put the photos as it might be a bit much. Remember, simple is elegant so don't over do it by trying to put heaps of things on the table as there should be one focus, i.e the vase of flowers with the others two small things complenting it. But other than that, that sounds as though you will have beautiful tables!"

iloveweddings replied: "Hi. I love the idea with the pink roses in the square vases and rose petals. I would leave it at that. BUT, on the cake table and guest book table, why don't you put the pictures of you and your fiance. I think it would be too much to put all of it on the regular tables. Good luck!"

Jasmine808 replied: "I just got married and had pink roses too! Pink is such a great color to coordinate with. Here are some ideas: A Pink Wedding: Wedding Cake: Favors: Instead of a guest book, I had a wedding wish jar. In a large glass vase tied with a ribbon filled with pink rose petals, my guests wrote down their best wishes for my marriage. It was wonderful to read afterwards! At the guest check-in table, I put pictures of my fiancee and I as children, our family and engagement pictures with rose petals put around. This might be a great place for you to put the black and white pics of you two!"

eve replied: "That sounds cute already! Put on each table a souvenir and a camera so people can take pictures of each other."

Answer Guru replied: "I like your centerpiece idea. I think it reminds me of something I saw on The Knot. I'm not sure about the picture in the frame too. I mean, it is your wedding day. But, it seems like trying to hard to make the day all about you. People are going to see you in person. Save the engagement photos and such for the placecard table and for the guest book table."

Rainia W replied: "I like both ideas, although I do think you might have a bit much going on. Here are some other ideas that you might use to complement the great idea you have: "

The Mrs. replied: "Sounds beautiful and very classy. Just be careful with the candles and flowers together...I have heard many stories about flowers catching on fire because the candles were too close to the flowers...or worse a someone bending down and catching their hair on fire."

weddingcaketop replied: "wedding decoration... try this link"

Lydia replied: "The flowers are a fine idea, but don't bother with the pictures. They will see you in the flesh."

Centerpieces ideas and how to make them look neat? I am getting married at the end of may or the beggining of June. My colors are deep turqoise, light green, and a dark pink. Dark pink for the stargazer lilies, light green for hydrangeas and deep turqoise accents. I am wanting to put hydrangeas in the middle of each table in a vase and incoorporate little votive candles and possibly silk rose petals that you scatter around them in pink, turqoise and the green. Does anyone have any suggestions for centerpieces, i am worried that it may look too crowded. I am up for anything, just use my colors when you give me suggestions. Thanks! I also have seen the rock center pieces which are lovely but i don't think it would go well with my theme.

Marion L replied: "I'm not the most creative person, but I'll give you my 2 cents! I tend to like things simple. White table cloths with a turquoise square (napkin size) in the middle. Then get some small square mirrors to set your votives on (that will look especially nice at night). Then set some hydrangeas and lilies in the middle of it all...make sure they are low so people can easily hold conversations. Maybe some white or silver ribbon or tulle around the flower vase to add some softness."
